How much does it cost to sell my home ?

Selling your home doesn’t need to include high vendor paid advertising. In this current market we are fortunate to have so many advertising options to choose from. Some are expensive and some are better value for money. So what should you spend on your property ?

 

A not negotiable is professional photography. This is the foundation for any marketing campaign and at a cost between $100 – $200 this is the first thing to do.

A photo sign board is a good option for nearly all properties. It is advertising your property 24/7 and is especially good for properties that are deceiving from the exterior as it can give you a drive by glimpse of the interior.

 

Online portals. This is when things start to get pricey. The cost you pay for this is significant but you should only be charged a cost price from your selling agent. The question is, do you pay for a basic ad or is it worth the spend on a Premier ad. Is it beneficial for your property or beneficial for your selling agents personal exposure ? I like to call the latter agents, “celebrity agents”.

 

Any other marketing options should be considered based on the agents factual proof that it is going to  be beneficial to your property OR if you have an exclusive property that warrants the extra expenditure. These extras we are referring to include video marketing and e-brochures and certain upgrades on portals.

 

So when it is time to sell your property. Consider the options that are important for your property and not the options thatsole purpose is only to increase  your agents exposure for their own personal marketing.
